- Onion and Baking Soda
This odd combination is a great repellant for warding off cockroaches. Pour one tablespoon of baking soda into a small tray, such as an ashtray. Then chop up one white onion and grind it.
Place the onion in the baking soda and stir thoroughly. Once you have a smooth mixture, you can pour this into the corners of your home. In each of your rooms, put one to two teaspoons in each of the corners to ward off cockroaches.
